Femke’s Londonland

I am a Dutch twenty-something who moved to London in October 2006. I cut the cord and moved here to be closer to my friends I had gathered over the years. A few months after I moved a job in entertainment PR came along, which what now occupies most of my days. However, living in London offers so much, it needs to be enjoyed. I spend a lot of my sparetime with my friends, doing a wide variety of things, going to gigs (this happens a lot), going to the theatre, hanging out in a nice pub with some food and drink, shopping (hey, I am a girl…), wandering around museums and occassional trips to the countryside (of which there should be more actually). This blog is a document of all these things, with reviews and tales of the things London has to offer.

I am about to start training for next year’s London Marathon, this will also be a feature on this blog. I did a 5k Race for Life the other day and enjoyed the training for it so much, I decided to sign up for a charity place for the marathon. I was sane at the time.

Oh, and about the username, foxyfemke, not that I find myself particularly foxy, but it’s based on my surname…
